The good fats are used by the body as building materials and they can also help to avoid heart disease. The good that can be accomplished in your body with the right fatty acids is:
1. Essential for brain function
2. Forms insulation around nerves to keep electrical impulses moving
3. Stabilizes neurotransmitters
4. Forms membranes inside cells
5. Provides important structures in cell membranes
6. Keeps cell membranes permeable
7. Maintains a healthy immune system
8. Makes important hormones
9. Helps prevent mood swings
