10,000 steps
Taking 10,000 steps a day using a step-counting device called a pedometer can help you meet fitness goals if you focus on the speed of the steps, rather than just the number. For health benefits, take 100 to 150 steps per minute (in either three 10-minutes segments or 30 minutes straight). For weight loss, strive for more than 30 minutes.

Hello. Was surfing at Blog Mad and saved URL to look at this later. So many blogs, so little time. Weight loss has not been one of my problems, but have been there as my friends struggled to lose. You've posed some questions. Your purpose is a journal of your battle of the bulge; you might get more readership and comments if you spiced it up a bit with the story of your sons murder.
When painful memories come up, down you rush to food for comfort? Is concentrating on your goal helping to heal from that pain? Have you ever been to San Pedro's nude beach? Photo's: this is how I look today. Down a size? My progress. Ah, to look like this: ??? (whoever you feel you want to look like).
There are quite a few people blogging about this goal. I even put a link to a website on mine asking ladies to help encourage "Mary Ann Shrinks". Maybe there is a webring that you could join, (or start), to make friends and cheer each other on.
The only thing I know about weight loss, is it's better to lose extra weight the way it was gained, a little bit at a time. Good luck to you.
